Last Year Google announced its project known as Android One has not been so successful, though Google has steered again for the 2nd gen of Android One this year 2015.
From promise of getting brands like HTC, Asus to partner with them Google has been enforced to switch strategy and open up itself to the prospect of selling via dual-channels.
Which is why the brand like LAVA fits well in their mission for project so called Android One. LAVA is now the sole proprietor of Android One right now. LAVA has produced their PIXEL V1 this year’s product.

What is good?
The 5.5-inch screen is perhaps the USP of the smartphone. The HD screen makes for excellent viewing in my opinion and so far the Dragon Trail Glass has ensured that the Pixel V1’s screen is scratch-free. The audio quality both for music and calls is fairly sharp on this device.
32 GB space gives you no worry feeling about space. Plus, there is the extra space with a microSD card. Battery is another strong feature of this smartphone. It lasted well over 11 hrs with usage included gaming, calls, videos and browsing the web as well. The battery saver mode will ensure that your phone lasts that extra bit of hour as well which is an important feature for a smartphone at this price point.
What’s not good?
Phone has plain Vanilla Android which should be faster, but it is not so fast as I have experienced. Many times phone just got stuck and I had to restart it. I also encountered several app crashes.
Though the cameras is 5 MP and 13 MP, the quality of images captured are not so good as they should be.
