Microsoft is reportedly working on a Custom ROM of Windows 10 Mobile for a couple of new devices which includes the OnePlus 2, OnePlus 3 and the Xiaomi Mi5. Last year, Microsoft released a Windows 10 ROM for Xiaomi Mi4 to give users the ability to try out the company’s new operating system on a Non OEM hardware.

The Chinese company  has recently introduced their latest flagship device at MWC 2016, but it’s not yet available on the market. Same is the case for the OnePlus 3, which rumors suggest will launch by the end of the second quarter.

Interestingly, Microsoft has yet to roll out the new Windows 10 Mobile operating system to existing windows devices, but moves like this will certainly allow the company to have Windows 10 running on more hardware than what’s offered by platform partners.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is working with manufacturers to discuss when it will be announced until the time is ripe.

With Windows 10 Mobile continues to progress, domestic manufacturers have finally started to consider carrying Windows 10 Mobile system, which is undoubtedly good news for a big weakness now Windows 10 Mobile ecosystem is. As long as they can continue to focus on domestic manufacturers and equipped with Windows 10 Mobile, then Windows 10 Mobile developers will have more and more attention who may address the embarrassing situation of lack of applications on windows platform effectively.

A Windows 10 Mobile ROM is a way for users to experience the Windows 10 Mobile operating system on an Android device. While the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 was released with both an Android and Windows 10 Mobile version, incorporating a Windows 10 Mobile ROM into one Android release would provide both experiences in one device.
